Security & compliance
CAD security, privacy & NDA
Technical and process details buyers can verify — not vague “encrypted upload” slogans.
Transport security
CAD and forms travel over HTTPS (TLS). For quote preview, CAD can stay in the browser session first; files are written to the server uploads directory only after you Save quote or Place order.
File-type whitelist
Only common CAD/drawing extensions are accepted: STEP / STL / IGES / SolidWorks / Parasolid / DXF / PDF & more. Executable-like extensions are rejected.
Size limit
Max 80 MB per file. Oversized uploads are rejected and not written to disk.
Storage & access
Saved quote/order files live in a controlled server directory for quoting, engineering review, and production only. Directory listing is not public; admins see order metadata in the back office. Do not send large CAD via chat — use Upload for quote.
Retention & deletion
Target retention is about 90 days (or longer after order for quality traceability, with notice). Email [email protected] to request deletion of pre-order inquiry files.
Malware scanning
The app enforces type/size checks. Host-level antivirus/quarantine is recommended in ops. For higher assurance, sign an NDA first and use an agreed transfer channel.
NDA
Mutual NDA available before sensitive transfers. Email [email protected] with subject “NDA” and your company/project.
What “Encrypted / NDA-ready” means
Encrypted = HTTPS in transit — not a claim of end-to-end military-grade at-rest encryption. NDA-ready = we can execute an NDA before sensitive files move — not that every preview file is already under a signed NDA.
